As many of you know, I spent December in Guatemala and one of the many marvelous experiences I had was to study

During this incredible experience we will:
*** learn the about the many aspects of traditional Mayan weaving, its history and status today....
*** visit weaving cooperatives and see women dye their threads the traditional, natural way ...
*** travel to Xela, Salcaja and other villages throughout the Almolonga Valley to learn about (and see) the ikat weaving process
**** experience a Mayan ceremony
*** learn about the Mayan Calendars
*** Spend two nites at Posada Santiago in Santiago Atitlan on the most lovely lake in the world !! (This picture taken from the Posada's gardens)
From Santiago we will visit weavers and other lakes villages, such as San Juan la Laguna and San Lucas Toliman.
