Maya Roads: One Woman's Journey Among the People of the Rainforest by Mary Jo McConahay - Mary Jo is a journalist and friend who covered the Central American wars with photojournalist (also a friend) Nancy McGirr (cover is her image). This is her memoir related to her experiences with the Maya. It's a great read. The 2012 Story: The Myths, Fallacies, and Truth Behind the Most Intriguing Date in History Maya Cosmogenesis 2012 - this is the book that first got me interested in the 2012 phenomenon by John Major Jenkins The Popol Vuh - the Mayan Book of the Dawn of Life Rituals of Sacrifice by Vincent Stanzione Vinny has lived in or near Santiago Atitlan for more than 20 years. This book was his PHD thesis and in his words "the fruit of 13 years of experiential living, religions praxis and endless learning among the Tz'utujil speaking Maya of Santiago Atitlan."
